Hello, my name is Machia! My passion for birth was born right alongside my children. I am a mother to three little girls who flipped my life upside down in all of the right ways! For me, becoming a mother has been my greatest calling. These days, I have the privilege of enjoying those precious moments at home, spending most of my time homeschooling my daughters and teaching them the values of life.
Six years ago, when I welcomed my twin daughters, I knew that the birth room was right where I belonged. Shortly after having them is when I started my online certification and began attending births, nothing had ever made me feel more like myself. I realized that this is my calling, to love and create space for mothers as they become, and to see their significant others confidently support the one they love. There is nothing else like it in the world.
My love for birth is rooted in the truth that God has perfectly designed women to carry life and to birth it.
Over the past year, I have had the joy of shadowing a local midwife and learning how to birth assist while simultaneously supporting mothers through dedicated doula and postpartum care. This has given me invaluable experience in both hospital and home settings. I firmly believe that regardless of where you choose to have your baby, you should be able to dream of whatever kind of birth it is that you desire with the support to help make it happen. Birth is a sacred experience and you should be able to feel like it’s yours.
It would be my privilege to walk alongside you and your growing family. There is nothing like the summit of birth and I truly believe it’s better to do it with people in your corner.
